Jack, the Democratic National Convention opened last night in Chicago with big speeches, surprise appearances, and a reminder of exactly what's at stake this fall.

Defeating Trump doesn't stop in November, though. Right now, we're working to recruit volunteers to help Get Out The Vote, but we must and will continue to protect that election and our democracy all the way through Inauguration Day. Trump showed on Jan. 6 that he will not admit defeat—ever. In fact, he's already named some of his fake electors from 2020 to his 2024 slate.

We need to win in November—and then keep working to shut down whatever lies, lawsuits, and coups he tries in the weeks and months that follow. That's why I'm writing to you now.
