John — this weekend, we showed California what grassroots power looks like.
I joined our organizing team at JanePAC for two incredible volunteer recruitment events, and the energy was palpable.
Our first event kicked off at El Portal Restaurant in Pasadena, and boy, did folks turn out! It was a packed house! I had the pleasure to talk with so many passionate climate champions who are ready to roll up their sleeves and take action.
We discussed the stakes of this November’s election and the vital role each of us can play in electing climate leaders at every level of government. And of course, we had to try the tacos 🌮
Later that day, we headed to downtown LA for our second event at The Gunn Studio. (courtesy of a generous JanePAC volunteer! Thank you, Mark!) The room was buzzing with energy as we talked strategy, shared our goals, and got even more supporters fired up to get involved.
I heard from one volunteer who has been organizing at their local supermarket, and another volunteer who’s ready to get Gen-Z out to vote through their local surfing club.
The spirit of unity and determination in that loft was inspiring — we’re building a movement that’s ready to fight like hell for our climate.
These events were the start of something powerful. We’re not just talking about change; we’re making it happen. With every conversation, every new volunteer, and every commitment made, we’re one step closer to electing climate champions up and down the ballot this November.
But this is just the beginning. To keep this momentum going, we need everyone involved in this fight — whether by volunteering your time, donating, or spreading the word, your participation is crucial.
We’re planning more volunteer activities, both in-person and remotely, so you can make an impact in your own community, John. Click here to join our team of JanePAC volunteers!
Let’s show the fossil fuel industry that we’re not backing down.
Onward,
Jane Fonda
