Last week I spoke to CNN about what is happening at our border. Team, you know I have never shied away from addressing this issue. The border is not a Democratic or Republican issue. It’s an American Issue.

When I was sworn into Congress after the special election, I told my colleagues to “wake up” and start working together to solve problems. It seems like people are finally starting to listen.

We need solutions at the border - and that means Congress needs to look beyond partisan differences and work towards real solutions that will help everyone. And for that to happen we are going to need leaders who are willing to reach across the aisle.
