Dear Patriot,
When I was a young pastor in Miami, we would perform baptisms at the beach.
That lasted until the Parks Department SHUT US DOWN because a lifeguard
complained. People were protesting us even going so far as to curse out me and
my parishioners.
We thought about suing the city of Miami because they told us we could only do
it around 5 or 6 in the morning because it was OFFENSIVE to beach goers. Can
you imagine such a beautiful celebration of faith being called OFFENSIVE? This
is the world we live in now…
I asked a simple question: Do you have people patrolling others praying over
their picnics on the beach? Of course they don’t. It would be a preposterous
waste of resources just like this was.
Throughout my years as a pastor, I’ve learned that when you are emboldened or
when you take a tough stand, you inspire others. I saw this firsthand in Miami:
the lifeguard who complained in the first place ended up getting baptized. The
Parks Manager who we originally met with came to Christ and sits in the second
row at every single Sunday service.
This is why I decided to partner with National Faith Advisory Board (NFAB). I
want to inspire more people of faith to stand up PROUDLY for their values. Our
spiritual and moral values belong in government, and we need to stand up for
what we believe in just like I did in Miami.
We are looking for Grassroots Patriots and People of Faith who will vow to
proudly assert their right to religious liberty and freedom. Can we count on you
to join us?
