Economic Development are looking for a motivated Finance Officer to support the team. The post holder will play a key role in providing budget holders with timely, concise, accurate financial information for grant funded projects. The post holder will need experience in using MS Office Suite and financial software, have solid knowledge?of financial and accounting practices and the ability to manage competing priorities, working to deadlines.
?
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role, with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Experience of using MS Office Suite and financial software.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision within a team environment.
  • Effective organisational skills and the ability to work?to deadlines.
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.

We are seeking to appoint a Facilities Coordinator, who is able to support the work of the Building Services department in service monitoring, inspections and supplier management, ensuring that the required standards are maintained. You will provide administrative support to enable Building Managers to function effectively and efficiently and be responsible for assisting with the co-ordination of multiple sites monitoring located throughout the Council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
? To assist the Property Maintenance Manager to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance along with smooth operation of all aspects of the building to create an optimal, safe and cost effective environment for the building occupants to function.
? To carry out building/statutory maintenance compliance audits making full use of IT equipment and setting up action plans, ensuring all action plans are communicated to Site Co-ordinators and are progressed in a timely manner.
? To assist Site Co-Ordinators to maintain and control accurate Building and Operational User Guides for sites within scope of responsibility.
? Provide first line contact for Building Services for all internal and external customers/contractors at all NCC Depots and ensure the FM induction process is adherred to and monitored.
? When required, to assist the Asset and Facilities Managers providing project support, mobilisations and decommissioning.
? Working with the site Co-Ordinators, control, update and monitor, a site wide inventory of all internal and external signage for all Civic and Commercials Buildings.
? To assist and encourage, regulate workplace health, safety and welfare including the monitoring or site activities in relation to health and safety standards for contractors in the progress of work ensuring site safety, quality and environmental responsibilities to the satisfactory completion of all projects to meet agreed deadlines.
? To work with the Property Maintenance Manager to ensure that enquiries / complaints are dealt with within the agreed service levels and analyse and monitor customer feedback developing key performance indicators that measure 'what matters' and drive positive behaviours.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Solid and empathetic verbal communication skills to enable effective communication at all levels, and to be able to develop credible relationships with colleagues, suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
? Performance driven with proven commercial and financial awareness.
? Have a sound knowledge of administrative procedures and methodology.
? Be an intermediate user of Microsoft Office and be familiar with all internal IT solutions.
? Ability to work off own initiative and to drive improvement, change and challenge where necessary.
? Have a high standard of diligence and tenacity ensuring that detail is captured and compliance is adhered to.
? Focus is on 'doing' and a 'can-do', 'get-done' attitude.
