Lauren Underwood For Congress

WATCH LAUREN

We are still buzzing from Lauren’s message to thousands of convention attendees and millions of Americans watching on primetime television.

She emphasized Democrats’ leadership through the COVID crisis, her Momnibus to protect pregnant Black women and new moms, her determination to increase access to affordable health care, and, as someone with a pre-existing condition, protect people who are most at risk.

Some of the loudest cheers erupted when Lauren mentioned her historic achievement as the youngest Black woman elected to Congress.

We were filled with pride when she shared that she wrote the Momnibus to address the maternal health crisis, which was introduced and championed by then-Senator Kamala Harris.

Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden passed Lauren’s legislation to make health care more affordable, and now 4 out of 5 Americans can get covered through the Affordable Care Act for $10 or less per month! The number of uninsured Americans has hit an all-time low.

Lauren spoke with conviction about the work left to ensure every American has access to quality, affordable health care, a goal that is within our reach if we unite and make sure Kamala Harris is the next President of the United States.

Lauren’s final remark? “We have come so far these past four years, and WE'RE NOT GOING BACK!”

If Lauren’s DNC speech resonated with you and she made you feel pride and excitement for the future, please chip in $4 or more to her reelection campaign. You can rewatch her remarks, too!
