John - I’m happy to announce that our campaign has been awarded the 2024 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction. Moms Demand Action is one of the nation’s leading champions in the fight to reduce gun violence and they grant this distinction to candidates who advocate for gun violence prevention and who will govern with gun safety in mind.
It’s an honor to have received this distinction. Fighting gun violence has been a priority for me during my time on the Board of Supervisors. I worked with Supervisor Catherine Stefani to cosponsor her legislation to make it easier to take away guns from dangerous individuals charged with domestic violence in San Francisco.
