2024 Primary Election Morning Informational Update
CHEYENNE, WY – The 2024 Primary Election is today. Polls for the Primary Election close at 7:00 p.m. Any eligible elector present and waiting to vote at the polls at 7:00 p.m. shall be allowed to vote. Absentee ballots must be returned to the county clerk no later than 7:00 p.m. today, August 20th, to be counted. As of this morning, before the polls opened, the percentage of registered voters who have voted absentee for the 2024 Primary Election is 16.01%
“Participating in the electoral process is a crucial part of our republic,” Secretary of State Chuck Gray stated. “I encourage every eligible voter who has not yet voted to get out and vote. Any eligible elector present and waiting to vote at the polls at 7:00 p.m. today shall be allowed to vote. Remember, to be counted, your absentee ballot must be received by your county clerk’s office no later than 7:00 p.m. today.”
