IMPORTANT: Critical Update in Our Fight to Protect Puerto Rico Community Cats

This week, Alley Cat Allies filed for an injunction against the U.S. National Park Service and its horrific scheme to remove and kill community cats living on a historic site in Puerto Rico.

On OCTOBER 1, the NPS plans to move forward with rounding up the cats. Alley Cat Allies is demanding that it stop immediately.

We filed a historic lawsuit against the NPS in March and will continue to take all available legal action until the cats are safe.

Our Lawsuit Continues in Federal Court

The United States District Court for the District of Columbia denied NPS’ attempt to transfer the Alley Cat Allies lawsuit to a Puerto Rico court. This is a victory against NPS’ underhanded tactics as we fight for Puerto Rican cats.

Alley Cat Allies is calling on the City of Birmingham, Alabama, to cease persecuting cats and their caregivers. Ripping cats like Nemo needlessly from their homes (Nemo's case was captured on a shocking video) and impounding them cannot continue.
