2024 has been a big election year in both the United States and the United
Kingdom, and both countries are experiencing shared political trends – like
unrepresentative election outcomes, growing support for independents and third
parties, and frustrated voters hungry for change.

On Tuesday, August 27 at 2pm ET, FairVote and the Electoral Reform Society will
co-host aspecial webinarwith our leaders, FairVote CEO Meredith Sumpter and ERS
Chief Executive Darren Hughes. The ERS was formed in 1884, and is the UK’s
leading voice for democratic reform. It operates across the United Kingdom to
deepen democracy with lasting reform measures.

Meredith and Darren will discuss this year's elections, as well as the path
