I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional District, and our country as a whole:
Another week of border chaos
In a single day last week, a mass murderer and a rapist, both previously encountered and released by Border Patrol as a direct result of the administration’s policies, were finally detained by ICE agents.
Marc Kervens Beauvais was arrested last week by ICE agents for the rape of a pregnant woman in Massachusetts. Beauvais was previously encountered and released by Border Patrol in June of 2021 after he illegally entered the country.
An illegal alien from Peru named Gianfranco Torres-Navarro was arrested by ICE in New York after authorities discovered he was wanted in Peru for nearly two dozen murders. Torres-Navarro was encountered by Border Patrol in May and then released into the US.
 
Bottom line: We know what we need to secure the border and keep Americans safe.
Right now, the Senate is blocking passage of H.R. 2, which would stop the flow at the border. The next administration needs to begin widespread deportation operations on day one. In the meantime, House leadership should follow the lead of the House Freedom Caucus and force the Senate to take my bill on noncitizen voting (the SAVE Act) by attaching it to whatever spending we send over.
Biden-Harris Inflation “Reduction” Act
The 2nd anniversary of President Biden and Vice President Harris’ so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” has come and gone and added nearly $800 billion to the deficit without improving the lives of Americans in any way.
Biden and Harris shoveled billions of taxpayer dollars into their “Green” New Deal priorities, which funnels $125 billion to China, the world’s largest CO2 emitter, for inefficient forms of energy. In the long term, these harmful policies lead to higher energy bills and a greater likelihood of blackouts.
In addition to giving billions of our dollars to Chinese manufacturers, Biden and Harris gave $100 billion taxpayer dollars to pay for EV tax credits even though 78% of EV credits are claimed by those making over $100K per year.
That’s why we need to repeal the IRA in its entirety — full stop.
