Dear John,
Cory Gardner had no comment when asked whether states should go bankrupt due to the Coronavirus. No comment, despite the fact that it will be the people who suffer the most from a bankrupt state government.
Moscow Mitch and No Comment Cory made it clear that they really don’t care about people after omitting $150 billion for state and local government aid from the latest relief package.
Meanwhile, millionaires and big corporations that fill their campaign coffers will be taken care of. A tax loophole was buried in the third stimulus package, with over 80% of the benefits of that provision going to those earning $1 million or more.

This blatant disregard for the hard-working people who make up the backbone of our country must stop! Just as thoughts and prayers have never prevented a shooting, simply thanking those who make up our essential workforce isn’t good enough.
We need a Senator who will fight for hazard pay, paid time off, and priority testing to our essential workforce.
We need a Senator who will demand a livable wage for everyone, especially since we only deem our farmers, fast-food and retail workers as essential when it’s convenient.
We need a Senator who will champion Medicare for All, so nobody fears going to the doctor because of the medical bill. Furthermore, we need a Senator who will demand free COVID-19 related health care services NOW! |

Most of all, we need a Senator who will always put people first, regardless of whether a pandemic is taking place or not.
I have fought, and will continue to fight for people-centered policies. Join me in this fight so we can take back the US Senate and ensure our government is working for US, not greedy corporations.
