Effective date: Aug. 26, 2024

Summary: Effective Aug. 26, 2024, all people age 18 and older using the DD Waiver must receive materials about how to recognize and report maltreatment at each MnCHOICES assessment or reassessment.

Effective date: Jan. 1, 2025

Summary: During the 2023 session, the Legislature passed a new requirement that providers must pay a minimum portion of Disability Waiver Rate System (DWRS) revenues as compensation to direct care workers. This new requirement takes effect Jan. 1, 2025. DHS will begin tracking required compensation thresholds via DWRS cost reporting during the 2026 reporting period.
