I’m writing this email to you from Chicago at the 2024 Democratic National Convention. It’s inspiring to see everyone coming together this week in Chicago as we gear up for a critical election.

I just left the Care Can’t Wait event where I discussed with many people the importance of our caregiving industry. For years, I have been working on legislation to improve our nation’s home- and community-based services industry so caregivers have a good quality of life and Americans can more easily access the care they and their loved ones need.

Now, I’m on my way to an event to discuss the power of the disability vote and why democracy must be inclusive and accessible.

The conversations I’ve had today are important, and I look forward to taking these conversations back with me to Michigan as I work to reach voters before Election Day. Democrats are working on these critical issues and leading the charge in delivering solutions — we just need to ensure voters know.
