President Biden Speaks at DNC as Democrats Prepare to Send Him Off

Trump War Room: The same Democrats who covered up Crooked Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, lied about it, then forced him off the ticket are now crying as he shuffles in for his final address before they relegate him to irrelevancy (X). Georgie: Joe Biden declares to the DNC that Democracy has prevailed after his own party committed a coup against him to usher in Kamala Harris, who got ZERO votes. “Democracy has prevailed, democracy has delivered, and now democracy must be preserved” (X). Collin Rugg: President Joe Biden repeats the “fine people” hoax that was recently debunked by Snopes, says it was the reason he ran for president in 2020 (X). Townhall: Joe Biden brags about building 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations. As of May, $7.5 billion has been spent — and only SEVEN chargers have been built (X).

First Night of DNC Features Numerous Speakers, Attacks on Trump
Washington Examiner: Vice President Kamala Harris appeared onstage at the Democratic National Convention, surprising the crowd, who hadn’t expected her to speak until Thursday night. “This is going to be a great week, and I want to kick us off by celebrating our incredible President Joe Biden,” Harris said of her boss, who will address the crowd later Monday night. “Joe, thank you for your historic leadership, for your lifetime of service to our nation, and for all you will continue to do. We are forever grateful to you. I thank you” (Washington Examiner). Libs of TikTok: “Donald Trump would be able to weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents! He could even turn the FBI into his own personal police force!” Ummm who wants to tell her (X)? Townhall: Jamie Raskin claims that Donald Trump used “fraud, theft, and violence” to become president (X). Trump War Room: DELUSIONAL JIM CLYBURN: Kamala has been offering the American people enlightened proposals and visionary leadership. (Kamala has offered virtually NO proposals other than Soviet price controls and stealing Trump’s No Tax on Tips pledge) (X). Benny Johnson: HILLARY CLINTON: “Kamala cares about kids and families.” There are literally abortion and vasectomy vans outside the DNC (X).

Nancy Pelosi Defends Her Decision to Oust President Biden
Washington Examiner: Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) deflected criticism from Democrats upset over her role in ending President Joe Biden’s reelection bid. After meeting with hundreds of California delegates ahead of Biden’s prime-time address to his party on the first night of the Democratic National Convention, Pelosi defended her actions leading up to the president’s historic campaign exit. “If they’re upset, I’m sorry for them, but the country is very happy,” Pelosi told reporters, according to the Sacramento Bee, after being questioned about Democratic colleagues upset that she was rumored to be behind the charge to oust Biden (Washington Examiner). Steve Cortes: Nancy Pelosi disenfranchised 14 million Democrat primary voters and ended Joe Biden’s 52 year political career in a coup: “I did what I had to do…my concern was not about the president, it was about his campaign.” This is not the party of Democracy (X).

Pro-Palestinian Protesters Gather Near DNC, Show Disdain for Biden, Harris
Associated Press: A few thousand protesters marched toward the site of the Democratic National Convention on its opening day Monday to voice their opposition to the war in Gaza, as Chicago officials said they were committed to keeping the demonstrations peaceful (Associated Press). CBS: Some protesters breached a security fence into the security perimeter for the DNC Monday afternoon. It initially appeared the first breach had been secured, but another fence was taken down soon afterward. Before the march started, protesters in Union Park rallied for rights for immigrants, minorities, and women across the U.S. Ultimately, they want the U.S. to stop sending weapons to Israel, and they want an end to the war in Gaza and self-determination for Palestine (CBS). Reporter Jake Sheridan: There are a ton of signs here accusing President Joe Biden of genocide. And no love lost for Kamala Harris — who in this banner is depicted with fangs (X). Marina Medvin: Those peaceful Palestinians are at it again (X).

Secretary of State Antony Blinken: “maybe the last, opportunity” for a Ceasefire in Gaza
Associated Press: U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday that Israel has accepted a proposal to bridge differences holding up a cease-fire and hostage release in Gaza, and he called on Hamas to do the same, without saying whether concerns cited by the militant group had been addressed. The high-stakes negotiations have gained urgency in recent days as diplomats hope an agreement will deter Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah from avenging the targeted killings of two top militants that were blamed on Israel. The escalating tensions have raised fears of an even more destructive regional war. Blinken spoke after holding a 2 1/2 hour meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier in the day, and will travel to Egypt and Qatar for further negotiations. The three mediators have spent months trying to end the war in Gaza, with the talks repeatedly stalling (Associated Press). National Review: Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned on Monday that now is “maybe the last” and best possible chance for Israel to secure a Gaza cease-fire agreement that brings home hostages held by Hamas, urging both sides to accept a deal before the conflict turns into a wider regional war (National Review).

No Students From Elite Jewish School in NYC Commit to Columbia University Amid Campus Antisemitism
New York Post: None of this year’s graduates of an elite Upper East Side Jewish high school will be attending Columbia University’s premier liberal arts college for the first time in decades, at least partly because of antisemitism. “For the first time in over 20 years, we will not have a Ramaz graduate enrolling in Columbia College,” Ramaz said… Ramaz indicated that anti-Israel protests and hostility toward Jewish students at Columbia during the previous semester had been a factor in its graduates not attending Columbia College (New York Post). This is no surprise considering Columbia allowed the anti-Israel protesters to remain in good standing with the school. Jewish News Syndicate: Columbia University in New York City continues to come in for criticism on charges that it has failed to adequately address an increasingly hostile environment for Jewish and pro-Israel students on campus. The House’s Education and the Workforce Committee presented information on Monday acquired from the school, documenting disciplinary decisions by the administration regarding students who broke into and occupied Hamilton Hall on April 30. “The failure of Columbia’s invertebrate administration to hold accountable students who violate university rules and break the law is disgraceful and unacceptable,” said Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), the committee chairperson, in a statement. “More than three months after the criminal takeover of Hamilton Hall, the vast majority of the student perpetrators remain in good standing” (Jewish News Syndicate).

CUNY Police Warn Officers are Not Prepared for Campus Protests
Newsmax: The City University of New York (CUNY), the largest urban public university system in the United States, is not prepared for the “potentially dangerous” onslaught of anti-Israel protests that may hit campuses when students return this fall, CUNY police officers warned. “The university is going into this under fire. They have no idea what’s going to happen. There’s no preparation,” a CUNY police officer said. The officers highlighted last spring’s violent protests across college campuses in response to the Israel-Hamas war as reason for concerns this fall (Newsmax). Daily Caller: There have been no meetings regarding potential protests and officers could be outnumbered if an unexpected protest occurs. The CUNY system, which includes 25 campuses, saw several protests break out during the spring semester, one of which included taking over a Graduate Center library (Daily Caller).

Democrats Have Embraced Sterilization
Albert Mohler: The Democratic Party is becoming one giant parable of abortion and sterility, and that’s becoming increasingly clear. It’s the party of death that is serving the purpose of the culture of death. When it comes to babies, the message being sent by the Democrats is very clearly, who wants them? We don’t want any. And let me tell you how parabolic that is becoming. The New York Times ran a big story date-lined just a couple of days ago, August the 16th, in which you had a report saying that Planned Parenthood of the Great Rivers, which serves a constituency primarily in Missouri and Illinois, it’s going to be at the Democratic National Convention, officially at the Democratic National Convention, and it is going to be offering free vasectomies as a part of the Democratic National Convention… They have just demonstrated the fact that when it comes to abortion, when it comes to avoiding babies, when it comes to say even sterilization, hey, we are all for it. We’re going to do them at the Democratic National Convention (Briefing). Townhall: The 2024 Democratic Party Platform is here. Predictably, Democrats are laser-focused on moving ahead to repeal any kind of protections for unborn life, including forcing taxpayers to fund abortions. In the Democrats’ platform, it explicitly states, “We will repeal the Hyde Amendment” in the upcoming presidential term. The Hyde Amendment is a provision that bars the use of federal funds to pay for most abortion. It has been a fixture for nearly 50 years (Townhall).

GOP Produces Report Detailing President Biden’s “impeachable conduct”
Fox News: President Biden engaged in “impeachable conduct,” House Republicans found in their months-long impeachment inquiry, declaring in their highly anticipated report that he “abused his office” and “defrauded the United States to enrich his family…” They alleged that the Biden family and their business associates received tens of millions of dollars from foreign interests by “leading those interests to believe that such payments would provide them access to and influence with President Biden.” The committees said the Biden family and its associates received more than $27 million from foreign individuals or entities since 2014. They also alleged that the Biden family leveraged Biden’s position as vice president to obtain more than $8 million in loans from Democrat benefactors. The loans “have not been repaid and the paperwork supporting many of the loans does not exist and has not been produced to the committees.” The Republicans said the conspiracy took place while Biden was serving as vice president (Fox News). Townhall: The media will likely say there’s no proof—the same media who said Hunter Biden’s laptop, which provided the blueprints for this operation, was fake and a piece of Russian disinformation. The New York Times’ headline couldn’t be more indicative of the larger media reaction to this report: “House G.O.P. Makes Impeachment Case Against Biden Without Proof of Crime” (Townhall).

Two High School Male Athletes Sue to Compete Against Females
Townhall: Two teenage boys who think they are girls are suing New Hampshire education officials over a new law that bans some transgender students from competing in school sports that match their gender identities. According to NBC News, Parker Tirrell, 15, and Iris Turmelle, 14, along with their families argue in their lawsuit that the new law violates Title IX, the federal civil rights legislation that prohibits sex discrimination in federally funded education programs and activities. New Hampshire’s law goes into effect Monday and requires so-called “transgender students” in grades 5-12 to compete on school sports teams that match their biological sex. Predictably, these male-bodied athletes who insist on being allowed to compete against girls filed a lawsuit (Townhall). NBC: Parker Tirrell, 15, and Iris Turmelle, 14, along with their families argue in their lawsuit that the new law violates Title IX federal civil rights rules, which prevent sex discrimination in federally funded education programs and activities (NBC).
