Win or lose it is vital that Christians continue to stand firm. Being salt and light is a powerful influence for good in our society.
We are delighted that the Government has dropped plans that would have blocked any questioning of same-sex marriage in independent schools in England. We are also pleased that the Scottish Government has suddenly become more hesitant over giving transgender pupils veto rights over everyone else.
In both cases we believe it was the threat of legal action which seems to have made the difference. Politicians are restrained by the law.
Sadly, politicians don’t always listen. We have seen this with the imposition of same-sex marriage and abortion on Northern Ireland. We are also seeing this in education. There are growing pressures on Christian parents because of what’s being taught in schools.
Please pray for us as we take a stand for Gospel truth in these critical areas.
