What a first day at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago!

Everywhere I turn, there’s an intense sense of unity, excitement, and energy. There’s no doubt: the thousands of Democrats gathered here are fired up and ready to win up and down the ballot in November.

It’s a stark contrast with the recent Republican gabfest in Milwaukee. According to multiple reports, the GOP convention was a low-energy affair that failed to capture the imagination. And the weird Trump-Vance ticket is flatlining.

Virginia Democrats are not taking anything for granted, however. Keeping Virginia blue is mission-critical for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in November. Re-electing Tim Kaine is essential to holding the Senate. The path to taking back the House runs directly through Virginia.

Team, can you pitch in immediately to ensure VA Dems have the resources to compete and win in November? We aim to raise $10,000 this week during the DNC to keep Virginia blue!

It’s a wonderful vibe here in Chicago, truly. Democrats are galvanized and ready to take on — and defeat — MAGA Republicans and their ridiculous Project 2025 agenda.

With our unity and determination, we are more than ready for this challenge. It’s a great time to be a Democrat!
