It's been nine years, two months, and three days since Donald Trump came down the escalator at Trump Tower and began pumping his unique brand of fascism into the bloodstream of global politics.

It’s been well over 40 years since the corporate project to break apart the working class and undermine the common good wrapped its tentacles around our political system, squeezing the Earth of its resources and natural beauty while sucker-punching societies with the false promise of neoliberalism.
But now, a new generation is stepping forward to demand deep and lasting change that corporate capture of democracy has denied us. This new wave of progressive energy, so full of hope and optimism, is kryptonite to people like Trump and the billionaire class that bankrolls them.

In this pivotal moment for the future of democracy and the planet, it is absolutely vital to have at least one news outlet free of corporate influence that lifts up the grassroots voices fighting for a better world.
