We’re at the precipice of a historic moment for women in this country.
Hi there, John!
I won’t be in Chicago this week to attend the DNC, but that doesn’t mean I’m not just as excited to see Democrats across the country rallying for the Harris/Walz ticket and Democrats up and down the ballot.
In fact, when I’m not on the campaign trail, I just might be glued to my TV.
My friend and fellow Lieutenant Governor, Austin Davis – the youngest LG in the nation! – is speaking tonight, and I’m looking forward to his moment in the spotlight. He’s shedding light on how Lieutenant Governors are doing critical work for their states and are ready to lead.
I’m also looking forward to Kamala Harris’s speech on Thursday. When she was in Delaware earlier this year, Val and I just had to snap a picture with our future first woman President.
John, we’re at the precipice of a historic moment for women in this country. The message is clear: Dems are uniting around the powerful women running for office because they know that when women lead, the job gets done.
Whether it’s our dedication to working families or our fierce commitment to protecting reproductive rights, Democratic women are leading the charge. And this November, we’ll send our first woman to the White House while electing our first nurse governor – making double the history.
