The Democratic Convention kicks off in Chicago today. I'm excited to hear from a range of speakers from all walks of life in our party, and to see Vice President Harris and Governor Walz lay out their vision for the country.

We are at a crucial moment in our country's history; this could be the most important election of our lifetimes. I know you hear that a lot, but this November we'll be choosing between a future that is built on change or a future driven by the past grievances of far-right extremists.

The Republican party is doubling down on their radical, far-right agenda — with sweeping abortion bans, cuts to Medicare and Social Security, and attacks on the foundation of our democracy. We're going to need stronger and bolder leadership at all levels to fight back against their extremist agenda.
