It’s Kevin with the DLGA.
Tonight is the start of the Democratic National Convention, and it’s already shaping up to be one for the books. I’ll explain why—but first, I need your help.
It may be hard for political nerds like us to believe, but the Convention is when many voters just start to pay attention to the election, and we need to seize the moment. Will you help us get our message out and ensure everyone is ready to VOTE in November by contributing just $7 to the DLGA?
For the next five days, we will watch history unfold with 50,000+ Democrats in Chicago and millions more watching at home. Here’s what I’m the most excited for:
- Our DLGA Chair and (soon to be VP) Tim Walz’s Lieutenant Governor, Peggy Flanagan, will co-chair the DNC and lead discussions with top Democratic leadership, including President Joe Biden, Barack and Michelle Obama, and Hillary Clinton.
- Lieutenant Governors Sara Rodriguez, Eleni Kounalakis, and Austin Davis will deliver remarks about their plans to move their states forward.
- Joe Biden will pass the torch to Kamala Harris in an extraordinary display of bravery and service to our country. His decision has united Democrats like never before and paved the way to making history by nominating our first Black woman Presidential candidate!
We’re fired up about securing a brighter future for everyone and watching our Democratic Lieutenant Governors help lead the charge. But it’s not over until we win this election and drive out MAGA extremism for good.
