Today is a special day, folks. Not only is it the start of the Democratic National Convention, it’s also the one-year anniversary of our campaign kickoff.
To mark the occasion, we need to raise $100,000 by MIDNIGHT to keep Delaware and the Senate blue, so I'm personally asking: Will you chip in any amount to help us meet our campaign kickoff goal?
With the support of this grassroots team, I became the first woman and person of color to represent Delaware in the House. Now, I'm running to make history again in the Senate.
Only three Black women have come before me to earn this honor, so I'm facing one of the largest glass ceilings in American politics. But I'm no stranger to tough fights and I’m used to breaking barriers.
I'll tell you why: Historically, Black women running for office only raise one-third of what their white counterparts do. And already, I've seen that painful statistic come to life.
My self-funding opponent has already written his campaign a check for nearly a million dollars from his own personal fortune.
That means we're heading into next month’s LAST FEC deadline before the election with some serious ground to make up. In order to fight back, we need to meet every single fundraising goal we set, including tonight's $100,000 goal.
Will you chip in $5 or more to reach our campaign anniversary goal, keep Delaware blue, and defend our Democratic Senate majority?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Together, we've made incredible strides in the first year of this campaign, and I'm counting on you to help power us all the way to victory on Election Day.
I can't thank you enough for your support. It truly means the world.
Let's win this thing!
