The Democratic National Convention is back in town, and for the second time in a row the Midwest has the honor of hosting the event. The Midwest also has the honor of welcoming President Biden, who will speak at the event on Monday and rally Americans across the country to support Kamala Harris and the hope for the future she represents.

Former presidents Obama, Clinton, and Carter (who will be represented by his grandson Jason Carter) are scheduled to speak in the coming days. They will bring their wisdom and experience in a time where Americans, especially those on the other side, so desperately need it. Please consider making a donation today to support the Democratic Party in its fight against those who would seek to deny America the future we’re fighting for.

It’s fitting that the DNC was chosen to take place in the Midwest. The Democratic party exemplifies the common values Iowa and our neighboring states stand for. Honesty, empathy, hard work, democracy, the rule of law; everything Democrats are fighting to uphold.

The DNC this year is about hope for us as a people, hope for our freedoms, hope for our future, which is why on Thursday Kamala Harris will take the stage and accept our nomination to run for president of the United States. The future we as Americans will help her build will be brighter than any before.

On Thursday we nominate our future. We nominate the next President of the United States of America!

Together, we have the power to transform our state and our country.
