The Long Range Planning Team is leading Island County’s 2025 Comprehensive Plan Update. Each month we hold Planning Commission meetings and present to the Board of Island County Commissioners on topics relevant to the Comprehensive Plan. Below are our upcoming meetings and engagement opportunities.  

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission meets this Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 6 PM. The meeting agenda includes:

• A workshop presenting the preliminary findings from the Draft Buildable Land analyses.
• A follow up discussion on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

Board of Island County Commissioner Meetings

The Long Range team will present to the Board on the Ebey’s Design Guideline update on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 10:20 a.m. Please find the agenda and meeting materials in the agenda center.

Clinton Sub Area Plan

As part of the 2025 Comprehensive Plan Update, Island County is creating a Clinton Sub Area Plan and we want your input! Do you live, work, or play in Clinton? We have just kicked off work on the Sub Area Plan and are looking for input on what you like and what you think needs improvements in the Clinton community over the next 20 years.
