The DNC will vote TONIGHT on the progressive party reforms we’ve fought for since Bernie ran for president in 2016 — including permanently reducing the power of superdelegates. This is our chance to make the Party more democratic and responsive to the grassroots and less influenced by corporate special interests — and we need your voice!

Since Bernie founded Our Revolution eight years ago, we have been working to transform the Democratic Party nationally and, importantly, all 57 state and territorial parties.
The Unity Reform Commission, which I co-chaired, was launched by 1,300 Bernie delegates at the 2016 convention, and now these years of work are paying off.
We have HUGE reforms on the table to reduce the power of superdelegates in the presidential nominating process, allow independents and unaffiliated voters to participate in primaries, and mandate that the 57 state parties adopt same-day primary voter registration and vote by mail.
Last week, our organizing was supported by the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee when they voted to extend these critical reforms indefinitely, and now our proposal will be voted on TONIGHT by DNC convention delegates here in Chicago.

Our work to make the Democratic Party more democratic and transparent is essential to give progressives a real shot to win local, state, and national elections. This work also includes the ongoing battle to ban Dark Money from primaries.
