Here's the thing about conventions:

They can be highly motivating for the party holding them, and the people in attendance.

But they are also motivating to the other side.

During the Republican convention, we received a lot of donations from people who want to make sure Democrats win in Michigan.

As Democrats gather, our opponent, Mike Rogers, will likely get a lot of donations from his supporters who want to see him and Trump win Michigan.

So we have to match them -- or exceed them -- this week. That can give us the upper-hand as we get closer to early voting. And it is why we're hoping for lots and lots of donations tonight as the convention kicks off. What do you say?
