Olympic swimmer and three-time medalist Chase Kalisz made headlines in a recent Men's Health article for sharing about his mom's struggles with weight and the obesity stigma he wishes to help fight. The OAC is honored to have teamed up with the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) to write an article about obesity and advocacy for OMA's well-respected medical journal, Obesity Pillars. OAC Advocate stands in front of a legislator's office on Capitol Hill

We Can't Stop Now... Rally to Push the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act Forward!

The Treat and Reduce Obesity Act (TROA) continues to gain traction in Congress after an amended version was recently passed through the House Ways and Means Committee. In fact, three new co-sponsors were added in July! While Congress is in recess during August, legislator offices are still open, so we need you to continue to contact your members and ask them to co-sponsor TROA! Once Congress returns on September 9th, the focus will be on getting the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Senate Finance Committee to act on the bill. TAKE ACTION NOW!
