The Lapeer County Republican Party booth was in full operation during Lapeer Days. Yes, we had a little rain. Sometimes a lot of rain! It was a success because of all the great Republicans in our party who rolled up their sleeves and got to work.

It started at the County Convention when a call for help was announced. Volunteers were needed to meet downtown, after the meeting, to set up the booth for Lapeer Days. About a dozen volunteers, eager to work, arrived. Within a short period of time, the tent was up, supplies were brought in, and the booth was ready for Friday’s opening day. It’s good to know we have Republican’s ready to spring into action when a call for help is heard. A big thank you goes to everyone who came when asked at the last minute.

For three days, the booth was covered each day by three shifts, with two or three people working each shift. THANK YOU to the following hard working Republicans that offered their time: Rick Gualdoni, Linda Gualdoni, Walt Bargen, Anna Pierce, Alan Pierce, Carl Sickner, Mike Eckhardt, Tom Mercier, Linda Glisman, Rik Krogh, Jacob LeRoy, William Hamilton, Robert Joseph, Myra Bray, Stephanie Hamilton, John VanWagoner, Linda VanWagoner, Bill Gavette, Mike Readwin, Kevin Murphy, Carl Boscarino, Ann Stahl, Carol Brown, Greg Wise, and Darlene Wise.

On Sunday, at the close of the event, many helpers came to take down, pack up and put away. It was a big job and everything was wet. What a welcome sight to see the crew of volunteers arrive, ready to work again. Thank you to that top-notch crew: Carol Brown, Greg Wise, Darlene Wise, Jennifer VanDam, Rose Navarre, Larry Navarre, William Hamilton, Stephanie Hamilton, and Tim Lintz. They managed to get lots of work done in a short time.

It was good to have the Republican presence during Lapeer Days. The visitors to our booth were glad to see us and happy to tell us they were voting Republican. Music to our ears! We close “Lapeer Days 2024” knowing it was a good event! Thanks again to all who participated.
