John, it's World Humanitarian Day, and I wanted to share a powerful interview for you to read today.
I hope you, a part of our strong community of humanitarians, can take a few minutes to read through and meet Eatizaz Yousif. >>

Eatizaz has been displaced several times by the conflict in Sudan. But her story is not ordinary. Despite being displaced, she is the International Rescue Comittee's country director for Sudan, helping to manage the response to the massive humanitarian crisis her country has experienced as a result of the conflict.

"Since April I almost slept in 50 different beds. I don't have a home, I don't have a room, and I've been sleeping out of my suitcase since then. And I'm a head of an organization, so I'm being really supported. You know we believe as Sudanese we are so resilient. But resilience does indeed have a limit, and I guess we got to that break point of that resilience, and we just want the war to stop." –Eatizaz Yousif, the IRC's Country Director for Sudan

From delivering essential medical services, safe water, education and protection to people who are displaced–their impact spans more than 40 countries and reaches some of the world's most inaccessible areas, often at great risk to their own safety.
On World Humanitarian Day, and every day, your compassionate support helps make the IRC's life-changing humanitarian work possible. Thank you for all you do.
