I want to share my story with you, as it’s one that embodies the American Dream and reflects the values we all hold dear.

I was born into an Amish family of 12 children in Lancaster County, PA. From a young age, I learned the importance of hard work and perseverance, and it has stuck with me throughout my life.

Amish education traditionally ends after 8th grade, but my passion for reading encouraged me to pursue a high school diploma. With 12 children, there was little extra money to pay for a private school education, so I worked nights hanging drywall to pay for my tuition at Lancaster Mennonite High School. I purchased the small drywalling company at age 18 for $1,000. 

I don’t have a college degree, I learned as I earned, taking a couple of courses at local colleges while managing the drywalling business during the day. Over 25 years, we grew the company to employ hundreds of hard-working individuals.

My dedication to service started with the West Lampeter Township Planning Commission where I served as a township supervisor for two terms. In 2008, I took a leap into the political arena, running for the seat vacated by the retiring Gib Armstrong. I went on to win the general election and serve in the Pennsylvania State Senate. 

On November 8, 2016, I was elected to Congress, defeating Christina Hartman with 53% of the vote. 

I have lived the American Dream, and there are stories like these across the district and the country. This dream is only possible in America. 

I’ve been a steadfast advocate to protect that opportunity, tirelessly working to ensure that all Americans have the opportunity, like I did, to succeed. I’ve championed policies that support economic growth, job creation, and lower taxes, aiming to create a thriving environment for businesses and families alike. 

My dedication to border security and fiscal responsibility has been unwavering, as I fight to protect our nation’s sovereignty and ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. I’m committed to providing the tools and opportunities needed for future generations to achieve their own versions of the American Dream with a focus on education and infrastructure.

✅Agriculture: Agriculture is the largest industry in our district. Ensuring that we have a robust agricultural industry for generations to come is crucial. 

✅Values: Democrats in Washington want to systematically change our economic and social institutions, and I won’t stand for it. 

✅Second Amendment Rights: I’m proud of my Pro-2A voting record. We cannot allow the rights of law-abiding citizens to be taken away. It shall not be abridged.

✅Energy: American energy is the cleanest and cheapest way to produce oil and gas. We must not be dependent on our adversaries.
