Pets living near Athens, Greece are facing extreme terror as the worst wildfire of the season breaks out. More than 700 firefighters have deployed to distinguish the blaze, which shows no signs of slowing. Residents are fleeing their homes, often leaving behind their pets in the chaos.

Displaced and stray pets are at risk of becoming trapped, burned, and in need of rescuing. Greater Good Charities is working with animal organizations on the ground to provide transportation and temporary housing for burned and injured animals as well as food, essential supplies, traps, and medical supplies.
