Millions of vulnerable Americans -- from low-income workers to our seniors -- struggle to get the healthy food and adequate nutrition they need on a daily basis. Food insecurity was a huge problem before this crisis, and the pandemic has only exacerbated the need for food justice in a world struggling to combat COVID-19.

Donald has already helped secure millions in additional funding to fortify and expand SNAP, child nutrition programs, food banks, and other vital food security initiatives. But, unfortunately, much more Congressional action will be necessary to ensure no one goes hungry during this difficult time.

Already, our state has stepped up to take care of our own. Donald even joined with Camden County Senior Services to deliver a week's worth of meals to local homebound seniors. It's about time Congress stepped up and demonstrated the same generosity and creativity we're seeing on the ground here in South Jersey.

Ensuring that our most at-risk population is fed and healthy has to be a priority for this country. Instead of bailing out corporations, we need House and Senate Republicans to join us in our work to prioritize the needs of people who already struggle to pay for basic necessities -- a Herculean task then disproportionately magnified by the realities of a COVID-19 world.
