ADDRESSING OUR HOMELESS CRISIS

Image

I recently joined Lake Elsinore Mayor Steve Manos and Councilwoman Natasha Johnson on a tour of The Anchor, a crisis stabilization housing complex owned by the City of Lake Elsinore and operated by the Social Work Action Group (SWAG). The Anchor and its homeless services are funded through a combination of state, local, and $3 million in federal funding that I worked with the city to secure. The Anchor has 16 separate units and can house up to 20 chronic homeless individuals from Lake Elsinore. The team working here has a heartfelt passion for finding lasting solutions that will help get people off the street and receive the treatment they need to change their lives.

SUPPORTING OUR JOB CREATORS

Image

Last week, I attended the Corona Chamber of Commerce’s Good Morning Corona breakfast, where I gave a brief Congressional update. I was also honored to be presented with the Advocate for American Business Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Our job creators on Main Street are critical to our local communities and providing economic opportunities for American workers.

KEEPING TAXES LOW

Can you afford to pay the federal government an extra $3,636? That's exactly what California taxpayers will be forced to do if our current tax rates are allowed to expire next year according to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation. I fought to cut taxes for California families, including doubling the Child Tax Credit saving families up to $2,000 per child, and I pledge to keep fighting to keep taxes low.
