Last week I wrote seeking your help to raise $50,000 for AFSC’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The response has been wonderful – and to help meet rising needs, we have now set a new goal!  

Will you help us raise $75,000 by April 30 for AFSC’s Pandemic Relief Fund?

Through more than a century of service, AFSC has built an extraordinary network of activists, partners, and people of faith in communities worldwide. And that has positioned us to mobilize quickly to make a difference.

Farmers working with our program in New Mexico are ready to contribute a share of their crops to food banks if we can help them in the short term with seeds and supplies. Our economic justice program in West Virginia is organizing a network of volunteers to deliver food and other essentials to people who need them. In the Middle East, we are delivering hygiene kits to seniors in Palestine who are housebound or living in poverty. In Latin America, we are helping to feed migrants stranded in shelters. 

People across the country and around the world are coming together to help one another through these times, with support from AFSC. But we need your help to keep efforts like these going!

The COVID-19 pandemic has magnified the injustices of our world, but it also shines a light on what we have always known – that we are all part of a global community, and we all have a role to play in caring for one another. If this finds you in a time of loss or economic hardship, please know that all of us at AFSC understand that you may not be able to give right now. But if you are in a position to give, there has never been a better time.
