100 years after citizenship, Indigenous peoples continue to fight to vote
— AZ Mirror, June 6, 2024
“Indigenous people are among the fastest-growing populations in the United States, according to the Native American Rights Fund, but they are still subjected to voter suppression tactics that prevent their full political participation.”

Making sure that every community has the opportunity to cast their ballot is central to the work we do as a state party.

Indigenous communities gained the right to vote a century ago, yet there are still systemic barriers that Indigenous voters in Arizona face that keep a large portion of voters from accessing the ballot box and making their voices heard.

Folks — organizers are working to register voters across the map and make sure that Indigenous communities are represented at the ballot box this November. Will you split a contribution with our team in Northeast Arizona to help fuel voter registration in Indigenous communities in Arizona? [[link removed]]

Organizers have to face geographical isolation between communities, physical environments that can be hard to navigate, and technological barriers that can inhibit the registration process.

Volunteers have to be creative in reaching voters in our rural communities — utilizing high-traffic areas to canvass and planning events that can address the needs of the community all while registering people to vote.

Investing just a few bucks in our strategy could go a long way to ensuring that native voices are accurately represented this November.

So please, split contributions right now to help us support the Northeast Arizona Democrats as they work to organize and mobilize Indigenous communities. [[link removed]]
