Friend,
Jill Stein for President has had a
fantastic week. We announced our powerful VP pick: Professor Butch
Ware, an activist, dedicated educator, and honored historian whose
work specializes in empire, colonialism, genocide and
revolution.
Just yesterday Jill and Butch won
the Green Party nomination with over 98% of the vote. We had several
great events over the past few days, including the VP announcement which was viewed by tens of thousands of
people across four platforms. We also had a fantastic After Party event with comedian Ron Placone, who had us all
in stitches. And even though we are nearly done wrapping up ballot
access so we can move to get-out-the-vote, we still are fighting for
ballot lines in 5 states.
We
still need to raise thousands of dollars in the next few weeks - or
millions of voters in Minnesota, Delaware, Alabama, Virginia, and
Rhode Island will not have an anti-genocide, pro-worker, climate
emergency candidate in November.
The deadline for collecting
signatures in these states is coming up fast. In Minnesota and
Delaware, we have only two days left! In Alabama and Virginia, the
deadline is August 23rd, and Rhode Island’s deadline is September
6th. We are running out of time to ensure Jill gets on the ballot in
these last few states.
We also have to be prepared to
fight off frivolous challenges from the anti-Democratic Party. Just
this week we were challenged by the DNC in Wisconsin,
a state where the Green Party already had ballot
access! Fortunately,
this attempt to kick Jill and Butch off the ballot was so absurd that
it was dismissed immediately, but it shows how desperate the dirty
Dems are to keep voters from having the choice of the anti-genocide,
pro-worker, pro-planet ticket of Stein/Ware this November.
We know we have been sending a lot
of emails asking for donations, but it’s no exaggeration to say that
if we don’t raise a significant amount of money in the next few days,
Jill will lose ballot access in Minnesota, Delaware, Alabama,
Virginia, and Rhode Island.
The good news is that if everyone who gets this email
donates at least $2.40, we will raise enough money to get Jill on the
ballot in all of these states. But we need everyone to pitch in
now.
