As the new school year approaches, it's crucial to create inclusive and welcoming environments for LGBTQ+ students. Our guide, "Creating Safer Spaces in Schools for LGBTQ+ Young People," ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) offers practical steps for educators and allies to ensure these students feel supported. The guide emphasizes the importance of simple actions like introducing yourself with your name and pronouns, displaying inclusive symbols in classrooms, and implementing a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. These actions can significantly impact the well-being of LGBTQ+ students, making them feel seen and valued.

Beyond these everyday practices, the guide emphasizes the significance of integrating LGBTQ+ topics into conversations and encouraging open dialogue among students and staff. This helps foster understanding and acceptance, creating a more inclusive school culture. By utilizing these strategies, schools can become supportive environments where all students, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, feel empowered to thrive.

For more comprehensive guidance, we invite you to explore the full guide. Let's work together to make this school year a supportive and empowering experience for every student.

** Spotlight on Abercrombie & Fitch: The Challenge Music Festival
------------------------------------------------------------

We are thrilled to share that our partner, Abercrombie & Fitch, is hosting “The Challenge,” a vibrant music festival and fundraiser event on September 20th. This unique experience supports the mental health of future generations, helping young people on their journey to becoming who they truly are.
This year’s event will benefit six incredible impact partners, including The Trevor Project. We are honored to be part of this initiative that champions individuality and mental well-being.

Match Program:
A&F Co. will match up to $20k in donations to The Trevor Project and other partner organizations generated through grassroots peer-to-peer fundraising, private donors, corporations, or committed sponsorships. The highest fundraising partner will receive an additional bonus. All partner-raised dollars must be routed through the partner’s team page to be eligible for the match.

The Trevor Project is thrilled to once again be a part of this impactful event. To learn more, see the link here. ([link removed])
