Let's Take Back HD-57, Colorado!
The District
House District 57 includes the counties of
Eagle, Garfield, and Pitkin and encompasses the cities of Aspen, Carbondale, and Parachute. The district before redistricting, which gave Democrats a slight advantage, was represented by Representative Perry Will. HD-57 is currently represented by Elizabeth Velasco, a Democrat.
The Democrat
Elizabeth Velasco is a progressive Democrat who fights for all of today's radical issues. She sponsored HB24-1348: Secure Firearm Storage in a Vehicle," the new law that states law-abiding gun owners must lock their guns inside their vehicles in another locked compartment.
Velasco is an ardent supporter of Kamala Harris’s border disaster and wants to bring as many illegals to Colorado as possible. But it doesn’t stop there; Velasco says that we should provide the illegals with infinite resources that you the taxpayer must pay for. Elizabeth Velasco supports Hamas and regularly attends pro-Palestine events. Velasco proudly stood next to anti-Semite Tim Hernandez in her Palestinian garb at the Capitol.
Velasco on illegals:
“Diversity makes our Colorado communities stronger. We must set up new immigrants for success so they can create a better and safer life for themselves and their families. By strengthening Colorado’s existing community-based resources, new immigrants will have a better chance of building a thriving life, just like the generations of immigrants before them did.”
Elizabeth Velasco was adamantly opposed to “Penalty for Indecent Exposure in View of Minors.” Democrats including Velasco publicly argued that this bill would hurt drag queens, whose often lewd shows are more important to Dems than innocent Colorado children.
Elizabeth Velasco does not care about Colorado families; her agenda is to usher millions of illegals into Colorado while penalizing law-abiding gun owners and hard-working families. We need better representation in HD-57.
