Dear Friend --

The City of Long Beach is expanding testing options beyond our four current drive-through locations. We are adding two new testing locations, including at Long Beach City College’s Liberal Arts Campus in East Long Beach and a soon to be announced location in North Long Beach. These sites will open in a few days.

Within the week, we will have the capacity to perform 1,000 tests a day. Long Beach will have one of the most robust testing programs in the state.

Testing is critical to tracking, controlling and preventing the spread of COVID-19. By increasing testing capacity and accessibility, we are able to work smarter and take care of more people.

Our current testing sites include:

  • Long Beach City College, Pacific Coast Campus
  • Jordan High School
  • Cabrillo High School
  • St. Mary Medical Center

For drive-through testing or walk up testing, appointments are available for all who are symptomatic at the COVID-19 testing page.

Front line workers, including first responders, critical government personnel, health care professionals and grocery workers are eligible for testing regardless of symptoms. Personnel who are asymptomatic and believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 and desire to have the test may do so.

Thank you,

Mayor Robert Garcia
