Good Afternoon!
Thank you for being a steadfast supporter of the House GOP Battleground Fund, the tip of the spear for New York’s victory efforts.
As you know, this very important effort is led by House GOP Chairwoman and Upstate Congresswoman Elise Stefanik to protect the 'battleground' congressional seats in New York State which will determine who controls Congress.
We appreciate your continued support and wanted to share a few big updates for the week:

79 DAYS OUT FROM ELECTION DAY: Election Day 2024
We are fewer than 80 days away from Election Day – which means that we are all hands on deck, and every Republican is campaigning hard to ensure we SAVE AMERICA and SAVE NEW YORK!
New York WILL once again decide the majority in Congress!
We need help from supporters like you to help us PROTECT and EXPAND our House Republican majority. We cannot allow Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Kathy Hochul to destroy our country or our state with their Radical Far Left Agenda!
The House Battleground Fund is the tip of the spear in this fight.
We are:
Deploying staff around New York
Building the largest Get Out The Vote Operation in New York History
Centralizing data across New York State
Educating Voters on In-Person Early Voting
Holding the Democrats accountable for their attempts to change election laws
To keep doing this, we need your support!

COLUMBIA UPDATE: President Shafik Resigns in Disgrace
On Wednesday, disgraced Columbia University President Minouche Shafik resigned after allowing antisemitism to spread on campus and capitulating to the radical pro-Hamas mob.
Chairwoman Stefanik (NY-21) stated on X –
"THREE DOWN, so many to go.
As I have said consistently since her catastrophic testimony at the Education and Workforce Committee hearing, Columbia University’s President Minouche Shafik’s failed presidency was untenable and it was only a matter of time before her forced resignation. After failing to protect Jewish students and negotiating with pro Hamas terrorists, this forced resignation is long overdue. We will continue to demand moral clarity, condemnation of antisemitism, protection of Jewish students and faculty, and stronger leadership from American higher education institutions."
Alison Esposito (Candidate for NY-18) stated on X –
"Minouche Shafik oversaw one of the greatest debacles in Columbia's history. She failed in her duty to protect Jewish students on campus. She should have resigned months ago. With schools entering their fall semesters in weeks, University Presidents nationwide must defend their campuses from the antisemites who destroyed our institutions last semester."

NEW YORK POST: NYC Taxpayers Have Spent $5 BILLION on Illegal Immigrants
|
 |
Far Left Democrats have encouraged illegal immigrants to invade New York with their open border and sanctuary city policies. Worse, New York taxpayers have been on the hook for the $5 billion expense of feeding, housing, and clothing those who cross the border illegally.
This includes nearly $2 billion for housing illegal immigrants in NYC hotels. Making matters worse, these handouts encourage more illegal immigration which puts New Yorkers in danger and drives up costs even higher.
You can read the whole story in the New York Post here.
In response to the worsening crisis, Chairwoman Stefanik (NY-21) stated on X –
"Kamala Harris and Tim Walz make up the most far-left progressive ticket in history. Their open border, pro- criminal, America last policies are a slap in the face to the American public and those who value American prosperity and public safety. On November 5th our decision is clear and we will once again elect a ticket that values peace through strength and America first."
Rep. Malliotaks (NY-11) stated on X –
"We need more cops on our streets. We need money for transit. We need more seats to ease overcrowding in schools. We need improvements in NYCHA. We need litter picked up. But THIS is how our leaders choose to spend $5 billion.
Only in New York City —where Democrats prioritize people who showed up illegally last week over lifelong hardworking, taxpaying New Yorkers!"

NY-19 Spotlight: Rep. Marc Molinaro
Rep. Marc Molinaro was first elected to public office at the age of 18 in 1994, serving on the Village of Tivoli Board of Trustees. In 1995, he became the youngest mayor in the United States. He was re-elected mayor five times and elected four times to the Dutchess County Legislature. In 2006, he brought his passion for public service to Albany when elected to represent the 103rd District in the New York State Assembly. In 2011, Marc was elected as County Executive. In 10+ years he delivered record tax cuts and historic economic growth, all while providing and expanding needed services throughout the community. In 2022, Marc was elected to Congress.
On Tuesday, Marc released his first television advertisement of the 2024 election cycle. The ad focuses on his humble beginnings and understanding of the struggle high inflation and Kamalanomics have forced on New Yorkers.

Thank you for reading this week.
House Republicans are the 'last line of defense' in holding the Biden Administration accountable for their failures, and no one is fighting harder than the congressional delegation from New York.
In 2022, we elected FIVE new Republicans in battleground congressional seats. These gains secured the GOP House Majority last cycle – and we are responsible for protecting these seats in 2024.
We greatly appreciate your investment in our House GOP Battleground Fund. We are on the front lines of New York's grassroots and field efforts; this newsletter is our way to keep you posted on our efforts. We hope you continue to support this very critical effort.
Please contact our team at [email protected] if you have any questions or want to get more involved.
Sincerely,
– Team Elise & the House GOP Battleground Fund Team
