Meeting with St. Tammany Parish Leaders
Recently, I joined St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper and other Northshore leaders for a round table discussion on local flood protection projects, hurricane evacuation infrastructure issues, FEMA's ill-conceived Risk Rating 2.0, and my opposition to the "One Lake" project in Mississippi. I am continuing my work in Congress to improve our hurricane and flood protection systems in Southeast Louisiana, and will continue to lead the fight against FEMA’s devastating NFIP Risk Rating 2.0 scheme that has increased flood insurance rates for many families in Louisiana.
