Did you see this article, John? We need to do everything we can to fight back.
Maricopa County is the biggest swing county in our country and election deniers there are winning their primaries, bringing them one step closer to holding public office and destroying our democracy. This has the potential to impact 4.5 million voters and the outcome of future elections at every level. But we’re ready to fight back, and we can’t do it alone. Will you join us and donate $5 to help us?
Far-right candidates in Maricopa County and beyond have been spreading Trumpian lies about our elections since 2020, claiming that voting machines are easily rigged and even delaying the certification of election results. They’re supported by far right extremists who tried to overturn the results of the presidential election on Jan. 6, 2021.
Extremists like these could spell a lot of trouble for the future for our democracy, John. And with so much on the line this November, we can’t afford to let election deniers get away with it.
With election deniers getting ahead, Run for Something’s work couldn’t be more urgent. By recruiting and electing diverse, young progressives who will WIN their elections, we’re making sure that conspiracy theorists stay out of power and that voting rights are protected for every single person across the country.
Run for Something is a grassroots-powered organization that recruits and empowers
young progressives running for local office, with the goal of winning permanent
power for decades to come. We've won over 1,000 elections
by relying on support from grassroots donors pitching in a little to create
big change. Please chip in now to help our candidates continue running and winning.
