Friend,

The New York Times has just launched a new section in response to the
pandemic called "At Home."

With so many of us locked down for the pandemic, this new section covers
valuable topics like what to stream on Netflix, the best food delivery
services, or how to pair wine and food.

But we at Common Dreams have a different idea about what needs to be
done in this moment of streaming, clicking, and consuming.

This is the time to stand up and fight for social justice.

This pandemic is making the case better than any of us could for bold,
progressive change, and with governments spending tens of trillions of
dollars to revive and remake the global economy, this is a historic
chance to create that change.

Now of course, for those looking for expert advice on redecorating their
sunrooms, the Times is there for them, and that's great.

But Common Dreams has a different mission. Our goal every day is to
provide you the information you need to engage in your democracy, hold
the powerful accountable, and make a better world possible.

If you value our independent, nonprofit news, we need your help to get
through this crisis. Please donate whatever you can to help us reach our
Spring Campaign goal of $60,000.
