* *Routes 2, 3, 4, 13, 14, 21, 24, 27, 28, 33, 40, 62, 124, 131, 132, and RapidRide C, D, E, and H Line* will have stop #420 at 3rd Avenue & Virginia Street (Southbound) relocated from Saturday, August 10th to Sunday, August 18th every Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. due to construction;
* *Routes 5, 28, and RapidRide E Line* will have stop #6100 Aurora Avenue N & Galer Street (Southbound) relocated from Friday, August 16th to Wednesday, August 21st from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day due to construction;
* *Routes 10, 11, 49, 101, 150, and ST 550* will have stop #1190 Pike Street & 6th Avenue (Eastbound) will be closed from Saturday, August 3rd to Sunday, August 18th every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to construction;
* *Routes 111, 113, 162, 177 and 212* will be rerouted; stop #250 2nd Avenue & Bell Street (Southbound) will not be served on Friday, August 16th starting at 12 p.m. through Saturday, August 17th end of service during the Paint Jam event.
* *Route 183* will be rerouted between the Federal Way TC and 31st Avenue S from the last trip to Federal Way TC, leaving Kent Sounder Station at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, August 16th through the end of service on Saturday, August 17th;
* *Route 208* will be rerouted off Railroad Avenue SE between SE Newton Street and SE Fir Street during the Snoqualmie Railroad Parade event from 6 a.m. to 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, August 17th;
* *Routes 239, and 250* will be rerouted off NE 85th Street between 6th Street and 120th Avenue NE from Friday, August 16th to Sunday, August 18th each night from 11 p.m. to end of service due to construction;
* *Routes 43, 48, 255, 271, and ST 542* will be rerouted during the closure of Montlake Boulevard E from Friday, August 16th at 10 p.m. to Monday, August 19th at 5 a.m. due to construction;

Service Reminders

South Lake Union Streetcar service suspended while crews address power issues

Service on the South Lake Union route of the Seattle Streetcar is suspended while crews address mechanical issues with the two substations that power the streetcar due to an unplanned outage.

King County Metro’s Power Distribution group is working as quickly as possible to develop a repair plan and schedule. While there is not yet an exact estimate for how long the repairs will take, we expect service to be suspended for several weeks. We will provide updates as soon as more information is available.

Metro and SDOT know this suspension will impact riders and understand the importance of frequent and reliable transit service.

Long-awaited Snoqualmie Valley weekend bus service to begin Saturday, August 17th

Snoqualmie Valley Transportation’s Valley Shuttle [ [link removed] ], the fixed route bus connecting North Bend and Duvall, and all points in between, will start running on Saturdays and Sundays as of Saturday, August 17th.

It’s an exciting development for the Valley Shuttle, one of several services provided by Snoqualmie Valley Transportation (SVT) in their partnership with Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), King County Metro and the Snoqualmie Tribe, and one that residents and visitors alike have been eagerly anticipating.

Valley Shuttle provided approximately 12,000 rides to local residents in 2023, and that number is expected to increase significantly with weekend service. All Valley Shuttle fares are a $1 suggested donation, youth 18 and younger ride free and all buses have wheelchair lifts and bike racks for up to 2 bikes. SVT also allows pets provided they are well-behaved.
