Hi there,

I want to share something personal about why I got into politics: my desire to make a change in the Latino community and all underrepresented communities in Arizona.

I was always guided by the saying in Spanish that my mom used to tell me, "Dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres" — tell me who you’re with, and I will tell you who you are. This resonates profoundly with me, especially in the moment we’re in right now.

Vice President Kamala Harris embodies the values and dedication our community needs. She has helped deliver on issues crucial to us like creating good-paying jobs, protecting our fundamental freedoms, and investing in education so younger generations can have a better chance at the American Dream.

This November, we have the opportunity to send Kamala to the White House and continue moving Arizona and the rest of the country forward — if we invest in our communities and leverage Arizona’s energy, we can continue to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and defeat MAGA extremism at all levels.

In Arizona, the Latino vote is essential. We were instrumental in past victories, yet historically, Latinos have yet to be the focus of concerted mobilization efforts. This really needs to change.

I know that organizing wins — and if we make the calls and knock on doors, we can drive Latino turnout.

We have to make sure that our supporters on the ground have the tools they need to get Latino voters ready and prepared to cast their ballots this November.
