Hey Folks, 

Life can get hectic this time of year with summer ending and kids going back to school. It makes peace of mind an even more valuable resource to come by. We hope you can get a little bit of that peace by knowing the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is already starting to do its job. 

Insulin prices were out of control, but thanks to the IRA, people with Medicare no longer have to pay more than $35 a month. Saving seniors from being taken advantage of by price gougers and profit-driven pharmaceutical companies that don’t make decisions based on when other peoples’ grandparents go without their medicine.

The IRA, which was passed two years ago today, also allows the government, for the first time, to negotiate down price costs and petition for better treatments for people on Medicare. This is a big win from this Democratic administration. Would you consider making a donation today to ensure we can continue to elect Democrats to make sure we can continue this important work?

 We can look forward to even more cost-saving measures. In 2025 the $2,000 yearly limit on out of pocket drug costs goes into effect, saving an estimated 19 million seniors an average of $400 per year. No one should ever have to spiral into debt just by paying for the medicine they need to live. 

 Thanks to President Biden and Vice President Harris’ leadership, the IRA became a reality. A reality seniors feel every time they have more money in their pocket books, every time they pay less for their medicine.
