This August, I've been traveling to every corner of my District to meet with community organizations who provide crucial services to our residents. From improving healthcare to affordable housing, I am committed to obtaining the resources our communities need to thrive.

Upcoming Events

This Saturday, I'm hosting a Community Back to School Health And Wellness Resource Fair in Matteson from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This event will have resources for the entire family! On August 28, I will host my annual State of the Black Woman Address which will include discussion panels and workshops covering economic justice, women's health, black female entrepreneurship, and more. Mile Square Health Center South Shore

Community health centers are the backbone of our nation’s healthcare system. I joined Mile Square Health Center South Shore to discuss how Congress can equip our community health centers with the resources they require. 

Habitat for Humanity 

Every American should have access to affordable housing options. I was honored to visit the DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity to discuss their efforts to build high-quality housing for those in need in our communities.

IL-02 Congressional Youth Cabinet 

My Congressional Youth Cabinet is currently looking for high school juniors and seniors who are looking to get involved with their community. This is a great way for young people in our community to learn how the federal government works. Applicants have until August 23 to apply for this year-long program.
