Last week, I had the chance to catch up with the team from Darien Fire and EMS. Thank you for everything you do to protect our community. Your service is greatly appreciated!
Supporting IVF for Families
Families are made in many different ways. Building a family is part of the American dream but can be difficult and seem out of reach for many. Infertility affects millions of Americans at some point in their life. In vitro fertilization (IVF) helps many of those Americans start and grow their families.
This week, I was proud to join my colleagues in support of the Increasing Value for Families (IVF) with HSA's Act.
This legislation helps individuals and families better plan and pay for medical expenses, like IVF. The bill expands eligibility for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and increases the current contribution limits on those HSAs. Specifically, the legislation would decouple HSAs from high-deductible health plans and double the current contribution limits on HSAs from $4,300 to $8,600 for individuals and $8,550 to $17,000 for families. This will allow families to plan for larger medical expenses like IVF and be able to grow their families.
By expanding HSA eligibility and increasing contribution limits for those HSAs, I am pursuing solutions that will help aspiring parents make their dreams reality. I'm proud to stand by our young families.

Maintaining Fair Elections
I am working to ensure our elections are safe from malicious actors. As Chairman of the Committee on House Administration, which has broad oversight of our nation's federal election laws, I'm working to increase trust and transparency in our electoral process. This includes ensuring all parties are complying with U.S. federal campaign finance laws.
In recent weeks, concerns have risen around ActBlue, an online fundraising platform, and its security measures. Reports indicate ActBlue may be violating or skirting federal campaign finance laws in several ways.
These concerns warrant an investigation, which I have directed my committee to initiate. In addition, I have asked the Federal Election Commission (FEC), an independent agency that enforces our campaign finance laws, to initiate an emergency rulemaking to ensure abuses do not happen. Read the full letter I sent to the FEC, here.
American elections must be free from foreign influence. I will continue working to prevent bad actors from influencing our elections.
Last week, I joined Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business to discuss my investigation into the campaign fundraising platform. Click here to watch the full clip.
