Greetings,
We hope you had a great week and are enjoying your summer. August is Back to School Month, so we know a lot of families are gearing up for the school year, teachers and school staff are preparing their classrooms, and summer vacation is coming to a close. We want to say an extra thank you to our educators for all they do for our communities and wish everyone a wonderful school year!
As always, we hope you find these updates and resources helpful.

Two Years to the Day of the Inflation Reduction Act
Today marks the two-year anniversary of President Biden signing the Inflation Reduction Act into law. Congressman Kim was proud to pass this historic legislation to lower health and energy costs for Americans, invest in American energy production, and do more to combat climate change than any bill in history.
In the past two years, the law has helped lower the cost of healthcare by capping the cost of insulin for seniors on Medicare at $35 per month and by finally allowing Medicare to negotiate for lower prescription drug costs after decades of opposition from Big Pharma. Just yesterday, the Biden administration announced the first set of deals through Medicare negotiation that will bring down prices for 10 of Medicare's most popular and costliest drugs. And in 2025, Congressman Kim’s provision to cap out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for seniors will make sure no senior pays more than $2000/year on their medications.
Additionally the law has brought funding back to New Jersey for clean energy projects and jobs, as well as opened up tax credits and rebates to help Americans save on everyday costs while prioritizing a clean energy future! Learn more on our Inflation Reduction Act Tax Credits and Rebates webpage.
Honoring our PACT to Veterans and Our Military Community
This past week, we also marked the two-year anniversary of the Honoring Our PACT Act becoming law. Congressman Kim helped pass the PACT Act to uphold our promise to have veterans’ backs and close major gaps in their care. It has since helped over a million veterans and survivors access the expanded care and benefits they deserve.
We continue working to look out for our military community’s needs. Learn more about the PACT Act and its impact here!
