Critical Role of Copper and American Mining

Recently, I gave an update to The Washington Times on how copper is vital for the electric motors and turbines that drive our energy ambitions.

But despite its significance, American mining operations are facing the Biden administration’s war on energy that prevents them from mining copper.

It’s time for the administration to take responsibility for its actions that work against our nation’s energy security and economic prosperity.

Secret Service Accountability

Americans deserve to know why Secret Service agents broke into a closed salon to create a bathroom stop for agents protecting Kamala Harris at a fundraiser.

The Secret Service must explain why their agents covered up the salon’s security cameras. Explain why it’s okay for their agents to break the law when convenient for them but why everyday Americans would be charged with a crime for the same action?

How difficult would it have been to plan ahead and seek permission from the owner of the salon to allow agents to use the restroom during their assignment?

Protect Election Integrity

Under the Biden-Harris administration, millions of illegal immigrants have entered the U.S. through our southern border.

We are working to protect our elections from non-citizens voting by simply requiring proof of citizenship. Do you think that's too much to ask?

I stand with my Freedom Caucus colleagues in fighting back on the Biden-Harris Omnibus that will be coming, and to ensure only citizens vote in American elections.

The Biden-Harris War on Energy

The Biden/Harris War on Energy is a war on freedom. They are stripping away our freedom in the name of environmentalism.

Their policies force Americans to get rid of their gas-powered car or truck, buy an electric vehicle, no longer use gas stoves and furnaces.

Big brother needs be reined in, and our freedoms must be protected.

As Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security, I’m leading efforts to restore America’s position as a global leader in nuclear energy.

To do this, we must utilize small modular reactors (SMR). SMR’s are substantially smaller which means more efficient transport and installation. Each unit has a power capacity of up to 300MW(e) and they can work in tandem with renewables.

SMR’s are the future of clean, reliable, and affordable energy.

Biden Crime Family

More evidence of Hunter Biden peddling influence for Burisma and using Joe Biden’s position for personal gain has been released.

Allegedly in 2016, Hunter used his position as the son of the Vice President to push the US Ambassador to Italy to help Burisma get projects approved by the Italian government.

Americans demand the Biden Crime Family be brought to justice.

Protecting Life

I’m disappointed to see retail chains so eager to make a dollar by carrying abortion drugs that are harmful to women and lethal to babies.

I stand with Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith and Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger on pushing back on these chains to protect life and women’s health.

Protecting the Second Amendment

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris support radical, gun-grabbing attempts to take away Americans’ ability to defend themselves.

I will always protect our Second Amendment rights.

Our country is safer when law-abiding citizens can defend themselves and their families.

Keeping the Lights on for Americans

Recently, Congress passed S.870 that included my ADVANCE Act to provide the most expansive updates to the nuclear industry in over 100 years and deliver reliable, affordable, and clean energy for Americans.

In South Carolina, it will help constituents who rely on Oconee Nuclear Station’s amazing nuclear technology to rest assured their lights will come on when they flip the switch and their homes will be cooled in the summer and warm in the winter.

Protecting America's Children

If you believe that we SHOULD NOT sexualize children and that we must STOP evil predators that exploit kids, then you must support my bill, HR 148—the Justice Act, to STOP the importation of child-like sex dolls.

Other countries and some states have banned these obscenities. It’s time to protect our kids and stop pedophiles and predators from practicing their perverted acts.

Additionally, Biden/Harris policies allowed a Haitian migrant into America where he raped a child.

This should NEVER happen!

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris must immediately call on the Senate to pass HR2 to secure our southern border and protect Americans.

Protect the First Amendment

The UK is already threatening Americans with arrest and extradition for statements they make online.

Here in America, we have a first amendment right to free speech because of the problems our Founding Fathers saw with how England was ruled.

I stand with the Founding Fathers and will protect the Constitutional Rights of all Americans.

Protect Yourself Online

Scammers are pretending to be Amazon or PayPal tech support to try and steal your Social Security Number.

Protect your private information online by reading the Inspector General’s warning about the rising threat of scammers.

Legislative Action

I cosponsored Rep. Darrell Issa’s H.R. 9260, which would remove financial barriers for gun owners on the federal scale by preventing excessive state taxes on firearms and ammunition at the point of sale.

I cosponsored Rep. Tim Walberg’s H.J.Res 199 because I disagree with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s restrictive fuel regulations on various vehicles.

I cosponsored Rep. Dan Bishop’s H.R. 9191 to ensure that Federal employees are not partaking in labor negotiations during work hours in lieu of assigned tasks.

I cosponsored Rep. Matt Rosendale’s H.R. 9169, which helps combat diet related healthcare costs by allowing states to limit the high-sugar foods that can be purchased with SNAP benefits.

I cosponsored Rep. Andrew Ogles’s H.Res. 1378 that condemns the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

I cosponsored Rep. Mike Kelly’s H.Res. 1369 to honor Corey Comperatore, who passed away on July 13th, 2024.

I cosponsored Rep. Mike Kelly’s H.Res. 1367 because a Task Force is necessary to investigate the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

In the District

As students and teachers returned to the classroom, Seneca High School sadly had to announce the passing of one of their faculty members. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, coworkers, and students of this faculty member.

Anderson University is making improvements to ensure pedestrian safety ahead of this year's football season. The new sidewalk will run from the entrance of the University to the football field. Go Trojans!
